Minibus vs. Full-size Bus: Which is better for group travel?
-
I’m planning a group trip with my family and some friends next spring. We’ll be around 20 people, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to rent a minibus or a full-size bus. I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure about the differences. I guess a minibus would be cheaper, but I’m worried it might be too small for everyone to be comfortable, especially on longer rides. On the other hand, a full-size bus might be too big for our group and cost more. Has anyone had experience with this? I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice on which option is better for group travel.

I had a similar situation last year when I traveled with a group of 18 people. At first, I thought a minibus would be enough, but honestly, it felt a bit cramped after a few hours on the road. The space for bags was also limited. We decided to switch to a full-size bus for the next part of the trip, and it was a game changer. More space, more comfort, and people could actually move around. If you’re doing long trips, I’d say a full-size bus is worth it. When we were in Düsseldorf, we used dusseldorf italy and booked a full-size bus. It wasn’t as expensive as I thought, and the whole group appreciated the extra space. If it’s a short trip, a minibus might be fine, but for anything over a few hours, I’d recommend going bigger.

I’ve never had to rent a bus myself, but I’ve been part of group tours where they used both minibuses and full-size buses. From what I saw, the full-size buses are way more comfortable, especially if you have luggage. I remember one trip where the minibus had to put some bags on the seats, and it looked like a hassle for everyone. Full-size buses also have bigger seats and sometimes even Wi-Fi. If I ever plan a big family trip, I think I’d go for the bigger option, even if it costs more. It just seems more relaxing for long journeys.
