In the past two years, the COVID-19 crisis affected Thailand and the world in all dimensions, socially and economically, and became an accelerating factor that forced “Thais” to adapt so that they can survive in the business sector. The nation’s important workforce is required to upgrade their knowledge and develop more skills to align with new labor market demands, especially knowledge and skills in digital technology. Digital technology has become a new basic knowledge in doing business and is an important basis for further application in various business sectors and industries.

As the main agency to promote manpower development to build Thailand’s digital economy base, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, together with partners from both the public and private sectors, has therefore organized the HACKaTHAILAND project as an important mechanism for raising awareness and as a platform for disseminating digital technology knowledge and knowledge necessary to run a business. Moreover, the project will also serve as a platform for brainstorming, solving problems, and overcoming limitations, to drive Thailand forward.
