Logistics problems during intercity transportation of equipment
-
I am planning to transport a set of workshop equipment, including a lathe and a compressor. All of this equipment is heavy and expensive. I read that logistical problems often arise due to poor fixation or careless unloading. Has anyone transported something similar? What can I do to ensure that everything will arrive intact?

Have you considered how you will load the equipment, taking into account its weight and dimensions? I recently moved a woodworking machine, a sander, and an air compressor from Ohio to Wisconsin. I have a small workshop, and the equipment was heavy. Have you read this blog GetTransport post: https://blog.gettransport.com/trends-in-logistic/logistics-problems-an-overview-of-challenges-and-solutions/ It says that lashing errors and careless unloading are among the main causes of damage. For example, I didn’t have a pallet truck on site and almost disrupted the unloading process. Luckily, the driver was experienced and showed me what to do.
