GRAHAM CHRONOFIGHTER Oversized Los Angeles Kings Watch: A Tribute to Hockey
Graham watches are named after the famous George Graham (1674-1751), one of the pillars of British watchmaking. Graham is acclaimed for his innovations in watchmaking. His invention of a mercury pendulum that compensated for the effects of temperature changes was perhaps his greatest invention, while the invention of the dead-jump escapement around 1715 was an important milestone in the watchmaker’s life. In honor of the Los Angeles Kings ice hockey team’s Stanley Cup win in 2012, Graham launched the Chronofighter Oversize LA Kings, a tribute to all sports that enrich human life around the world.
It would be nice to get a sneak peek of the salient features of this great watch. First off, this is a limited edition watch, limited to just 100 pieces. The watch cleverly incorporates a hockey theme as well as the Los Angeles Kings’ silver, black and white colors. The watch’s start and stop levers are located on the left side of the case and are made from the same carbon material as the Los Angeles Kings hockey sticks. The black ceramic bezel somehow perfectly encapsulates the Stanley Cup winning theme, which is presented near the 9 o’clock hour mark. The case is very large, measuring 47 mm in diameter, and houses the self-winding caliber G1747 with a power reserve of 48 hours. The front and back of the case are protected by sapphire crystal, with the front being domed and the back being smoky. To enhance the attractive sturdiness of the product, it comes with an integrated technical fabric black strap that easily increases the visual appeal of the user.
The watch that hits the market is undoubtedly a coveted product, and due to the company’s limited-edition strategy, it’s hard to get your hands on. Chronofighter Oversize LA Kings is undoubtedly good news for modern sports fans. Graham’s work with the LA Kings was a wonderful fusion. If the LA Kings push their performance to the limit by winning the coveted Stanley Cup, the pressure will undoubtedly be on Graham Clock. In the coming years, we are sure to see some creations from this master watchmaker that will make the world proud.
